Neyxessed

I wrote a blog post ca. 8 months ago where I said: “I love music but learning to play an instrument seems like the most difficult thing in the world. Looking at art people around the world or even within the family can create is always wonderful, but drawing a picture myself that resembles something is almost impossible.”

Well I tried to learn (for a very brief moment) to play guitar which I have inherited from my grandfather. It is a beautiful guitar, but damn hard to play. I bought new strings for it and tuned it with a help of tuning app. Anyway, I tried learn some chords and learnt that you can actually cheat a bit while playing guitar and use power chords. That sounded like fun, but eventually all I got out was pain in my fingers.

So I once again though that I am somewhat able with this computer stuff, so maybe little bit less of real instruments as my music clearly needs more computers and cowbell. So I started making some music with GarageBand which frankly pretty much worked as a gateway drug and made me want more advanced stuff. So I bought a better DAW and keyboard, or if we are really honest, two better DAW’s and keyboards. And of course you need plugins, I mean a lot of plugins. Very expensive hobby.

I actually use the keyboard to try out things, but I would not say I can play it. I can play some chords and melodies with it, but mainly it is there the allow faster experimentation with new melodies. Basically I use it to compose my music.

I am somewhat proud of what I have been able to make in the past months. Last time when I tried something related to playing or making music before “Annoying White Ball” was probably in third grade when we were forced to play “nokkahuilu”.

Today is the day when you will be Neyxessed as my first album as Neyxes has been released. Album is called “Sed” and contains most of the tracks that were released earlier as singles and also many new tracks. Spotify offers nowadays canvas feature to everybody and not just the big names, so I wanted to try that out also. Canvas videos are short 3-8 second videos that just loop while the track is being played. All Neyxes tracks now have canvas enabled, so check it out while listening to the album :) And if you are not a fan of Spotify, you can also find the album in all major music streaming platforms. But because I like Spotify, here is a link to the album:
